About Assessments

Depending on your child’s needs we will assess your child’s current skills and needs before beginning intervention. The areas we assess are:

• Speech and communication

• Behaviour regulation

• Sensory needs

• Daily living skills

• Social skills

• Participation in the community

• Pre-academic learning

  The assessment is a mixture of direct testing, observation and interviews with parents, teachers and other key stakeholders. After the assessment, we will discuss findings and provide a brief summary or a full report (if appropriate).

  The assessment will be conducted in your home.
